Tamberlin Golden is the General Motors, Executive Director, Toledo Propulsion Systems, as of May 2023.

Tamberlin Golden is appointed to Plant Executive Director for Toledo Propulsion Systems, May 2023, following the announcement of $760 million investment in Toledo to become the first electric propulsion facility producing the Electric Drive Units for the future all-electric vehicle programs.

Prior, she was the General Motors Executive Director, Workforce Strategy, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and led the global strategy connecting General Motors and communities to transformational inclusive experiences evolving the future of work, talent pathways and intercultural competence in leadership.

Tamberlin’s is a purpose driven leader with diverse experience of over 30 years and a strong track record of employee engagement. She has served in positions of increasing responsibility within leadership including serving as Plant Director at Flint Engine Operations and Warren Transmission Operations with budget responsibility in excess of $100M. She has been uniquely positioned to deliver cross-functional impact. Tamberlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Wayne State University.

Throughout her career, Tamberlin has demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. In October 2020, she was awarded the nationally adjudicated, prestigious Women of Color in Technology STEM Conference Diversity Leadership Award. Tamberlin is the current president of the General Motors African Ancestry Network (GMAAN) and the former president of GM WOMEN. During her tenure as president, the GM WOMEN organization was rebranded and restructured for greater reach and relevance. She also championed global alignment of GM WOMEN while establishing a clear path of communication to senior leadership. Additionally, she received the Women of Excellence Award in 2018 from the Michigan Chronicle, the Sisters With Superpowers Award in 2022 from Rolling Out Magazine and was named to the Career Mastered National Diversity Impact 50 List in 2023.

Tamberlin uses her platform to inspire and mentor all ages. She is passionate about creating exposure opportunities for underrepresented communities and growing their minds around their potential for future success. Serving as the Executive Chair for UNCF on behalf of General Motors, she led the team to raise more than $750K to support funding scholarships for deserving students. She is a board member for Focus Hope, a Detroit based organization focused on eradicating racism, poverty and injustice in the metropolitan community. She serves on the Scholarship Board for Women of Tomorrow providing pathways to college for at-risk teens. She is a member of the Oakland County (MI) Links, an organization focused on impacting underserved communities. She has people and community at the center of her being, but her highest priority is being wife, a mother to Brandon and Toya and a grandmother to Nova.
